What happens if the clothes get lost, damaged or stained whilst I'm borrowing them?

Don't worry, we understand what life is like and that losses or stains happen. For stains or damage just bring the items back and let us know. If we can, we will mend them and see if we can work our magic on the stains. If we can't that's fine and the items will be removed from our shelves. If you lose any items then just let us know so we can update our records. No fees to pay and it's not a problem. We're just pleased the clothes have been used for the time they have.

Are there late fees payable if I don't return my items on time?

No, we don't charge late fees. We are here to help not make life more stressful. Just before your items are due to be returned you will receive a message to let you know and then a few reminders. If you could bring the items back as soon as possible or send us a message if you're not able to.

Do you take donations?

Yes, we take donations of children's clothes ages 2-12 years. We only stock clothes in excellent condition and so would ask for donations to be in great condition. Members of our team will fix any small problems like replacing buttons or small holes on the seams. If there is anything we can't use then we take whatever is left to local charities who accept clothes to be sent off for cash. Currently that includes any shoes, hats, underwear, which we don't stock.

How are you funded?

The Clothes Library is the community support initiative run and supported by Hope Church, Emlyn; Bethel Church, Carmarthen and Holy Trinity Church, Emlyn. Our clothes are donated either preloved or bought new. The time of our volunteers is given free and any money donations we receive are reinvested in stock and other items we need to run.
